The exhibition will again be preceded on the day before the main ISE show floor opens by the Smart Building Conference (www.smartbuildingconference. com) and the Audio Forum (www.audioforum. connessioni.biz). Donato Masci, acoustic designer and consultant, working for the Florence-based company Studio Sound Service, will be presenting the listening experience and psychological factors. Ambarish Mitra, the co-founder and CEO of augmented reality technology company Blippar, will present the ISE Opening Address on February 4. Mitra will discuss how augmented reality and artificial intelligence are disrupting key vertical sectors served by the professional AV industry, and what future developments are likely to bring. The Opening Address will take place in the Forum of the RAI, shortly after the conclusion of the Smart Building Conference. It will be followed by the ISE Opening Reception. Both events are free to attend. During ISE further conferences are e. g. the XR Summit on February 5 and the Digital Signage Summit and the Digital Cinema Summit on February 6. Hospitality Technology Next Generation, a trade association dedicated to driving best practice in the hotel industry through the adoption of technology, is presenting Hospitality Tech Summit by HTNG. Emmy Award-winning sound designer Scott Willsallen will be giving a keynote at the AGORA conference on sports venue technology. The Closing Keynote on February 8 will be delivered by Tupac Martir, creative director of multidisciplinary art, design and creative production group Satore Studio, and co-founder of the studio’s sister venture Satore Tech. CEDIA Education Again CEDIA will bring a full catalogue of technical courses, including hands-on workshops, deep dives into subjects such as acoustic calibration and design, and a host of other courses helping to inform and improve integration expertise. CEDIA will also present a number of emerging trends courses: From advanced display technology to augmented and virtual reality. Brand new for ISE 2019, CEDIA brings a full-day Home Cinema Design Masterclass to the show on February 4, which will be taught by three experts in the field - Joel Silver, Anthony Grimani, and Theo Kalomirakis. The masterclass will feature three ‘deep dive’ sessions focussing on video performance, advanced audio techniques, and the cinema environment. The seventh edition of the European Youth Award brought together twenty-four members of jury in Prishtina, Kosovo, to decide on twelve winning projects. The winners were invited to the EYA Festival 2018 at the “Dom im Berg” in Graz. The winning projects of EYA18 were evaluated with regard to their creativity, digital implementation, sustainability and economic potential. food+x (http://foodplusx.com) received the awards for best business case and social impact project and emerged as the EYA Digital Champion and Overall Winning Project. Jury Evaluation: “We consider Food+x to be a highly innovative project that is using blockchain technology to solve an important social problem: food waste. By building on existing © EYA | M.
